Kurdish Community Islamic Center
KCIC, also known as Masjid Ashty, is a Sunni mosque located in East County, San Diego. We open daily from 12:00 PM until after Isha prayer. We provide a variety of services and programs designed to empower our Muslim community.
Programs & Services at KCIC
Friday
Lecture
Every Friday lead by Mala Amir and/or a guest speaker. Our first lecture starts at 12:30pm (Arabic and English), Second lecture starts at 1:30pm (Kurdish and English).
Marriage Services
Islamic marriage contracts are available by appointment only. While there is no service fee, donations are gratefully accepted.
Counseling

Counseling sessions are available at KCIC by appointment only. These sessions cover social, family, grief, religious, and marital counseling.
Funeral
Services
“Indeed we belong to Allah and indeed to Him we will return” – Quran 2:156. Select your cemetery destination and simplify pre-burial arrangement process.
Youth
Group
We provide various youth group programs suitable for all ages. One session is conducted after Maghrab prayer every Fridays, and the Youth Empowering Program, is scheduled on Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.
Islamic
School
Islamic School will be starting this June. School will begin around 10 am and end at around 1:30 pm every Sunday. Anyone between 5-17.

The 5 pillars of Islam
Shahada
The Shahada is the Islamic declaration of faith, stating that "There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah." This proclamation affirms the oneness of God and the prophethood of Muhammad.
Salah
Salah refers to the five daily prayers that Muslims are required to perform. These prayers are conducted at specific times throughout the day: Fajr (dawn), Dhuhr (midday), Asr (afternoon), Maghrib (evening), and Isha (night).
Zakat
Zakat is the practice of giving a fixed portion of one's wealth (usually 2.5% of savings) to those in need. It is a form of almsgiving and social welfare.
Fasting
Fasting during the month of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar. Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn until sunset.
Hajj
Hajj is the pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca that every Muslim must undertake at least once in their lifetime if they are physically and financially able. It occurs annually during the Islamic month of Dhu al-Hijjah.
